Island Breeze Ministries is a member of the family of ministries of Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and has been in operation in Hawai'i since 1979. With more than 25 years of experience training and equipping young people, challenging them in their relationship with God and His purpose for their lives. In more than two decades the ministry has been able to travel to and impact every continent in the world, including involvement in evangelistic crusades, ministry to indigenous tribes and individual churches, International Reconciliation gatherings, Olympic outreaches, the 2003 South Pacific Games in Fiji, community projects and partnership with other ministries such as the 700 Club, Billy Graham Evangelistic Crusades, Aloha Ke Akua and Pu'uhonua o Maui.

ISLAND BREEZE MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL

Island Breeze Ministries International is located and operating in Australia. The mandate of Island Breeze finds expression in training, youth mentoring programs and outreach ministry using cultural performing teams. The ministry has operating locations in Hawai'i, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, Brazil, Peurto Rico, Florida, Missouri, Fiji and Samoa.

Founded in 1979, Island Breeze Ministries now has seven operating locations internationally, and has been participating in short-term outreaches for more than 20 years. In each location the expressions of the culture are used to share the Gospel.

MAKAPALA RETREAT CENTRE

Makapala is a 12 acre property at the north end of the Big Island of Hawai'i. This is where Island Breeze Ministries in Hawai'i has been headquartered since December 1999. The ministry hosts other programs such as Discipleship Training Schools, Mission Adventures (for teens), Camp Lokahi (for 9 - 12 year olds), Wellness retreats and youth focused activities.

This land is very significant in the history of the Hawaiian Islands, as King Kamehameha the Great was trained here and returned to train his warriors.

Island Breeze believes that God has called them to use Makapala to train up warriors to be an influence in many spheres of society not only here in Hawai'i but to the ends of the earth!
