Held in the beauty of the Big Island of Hawai'i, on land that was used to train up the warriors that fought to unite the Hawaiian Islands… Island Breeze Ministries invites you to be trained up for God's work. This 5 month course is sure to change your life forever!

A discipleship training school is a 5 month course which is part of YWAM's core curriculum and an introductory course for any future YWAM schools. Island Breeze Ministries has been operating this school with an emphasis on the Pacific.

PHASE 1 The first 3 months (the lecture phase) are held in Makapala with a special emphasis on deepening the students' personal relationship with God, discovering their cultural identity and giftings in preparation to "go out into all the world".

PHASE 2 The second phase (a two month outreach) has a focus on the Pacific where past outreaches have included Tahiti, Hawai'i, Fiji and Brazil. Topics of study during the lecture phase include subjects such as listening to God, inductive Bible study, spiritual warfare, relationships, evangelism, leadership, culture and God's purpose for it.

The Discipleship Training School is at the very core of Youth With a Mission and is a foundational step towards our mandate - "To know God and to make Him known."

At Island Breeze we integrate our program with classroom lectures and community outreach. The integrated approach enables the lectures on Christian foundations and missions to concurrently flesh out new revelations with real-life outreach opportunities. This provides a fast-paced, faith-building, challenge for anyone wanting to grow in his or her faith and get involved in missions.

Our hands-on Christian training programs are open to 18 year olds and older and each year we see many students from around the world join us. This rich cross-cultural environment creates a platform for the development of an intimate, passionate relationship with God while making new friends and impacting the nations!
